It was with great delight that I read Wendy Jefferson’s article, ‘The Illusion of Choice’, in the July issue of Therapy Today. I wanted to shout, ‘Hurray!’
It was so good to have questions like ‘Is choice empowering?’ raised and discussed. I have always felt profoundly uneasy at a range of rather slick catch phrases that are tossed around in counselling spheres, and certainly the very word 'choice' brings all sorts of issues, that beg exploration.
