I have been a member of BACP for over 20 years and accredited for 13 years. I have always understood the ethos of counselling to be non-political and I was therefore dismayed at the content of Therapy Today (March, 2009). Reading the magazine counts as CPD and the content has always added to my knowledge of counselling development. I cannot see how giving cover to non-counselling subjects contributes to this.
I doubt that I am alone in considering that your journal has been hijacked by a political interest group to the discredit of the BACP and the disadvantage of our profession.
